El Salvador
After nearly a month in Guatemala, we headed south to El Salvador. Our stay here was much shorter, just three days. We spent the entire time along the coast in the small laid-back beach town of El Tunco. We took surf lessons and enjoyed sunsets over the rocky beach every day. The waves were pretty large in areas and the current strong, so we often worked up an appetite for “pupusas” which are grilled tortillas stuffed with cheese, beans or meat varieties.
The beach was a rock collectors dream, as you can see.

A beautiful sunset over El Tunco.
Papusas are the local street food which are so insanely delicious. They’re basically a fluffy corn tortilla, stuffed with cheese, chicken, beef, beans or various combinations.
